If your computer is older than six (6) years and slow, it may be time to consider a new one, either a laptop, a tower, or an all-in-one. The speed of new computers is fast, in part due to new technology, more memory and fast solid-state disk drives (SSD). Prices for hardware range from $450 – $950 depending on the configuration, plus the cost of installation and protection software.

New Computers: Choosing a new computer may seem daunting. Some of the questions you may have include:

– what should I choose?

– how do I install it?

– how do I protect it?

– how do I transfer my data from my old computer?

– will I know how to use it?

– how do I safely get rid of my old computer?

Your new computer will come with the newer Windows 11 installed. This will be a slightly different user experience than your current computer.

For a fast computer experience, look for CPU speeds greater than 2.0 GHz, memory more than 8 GB, SSD disk storage above 256 GB, and built-in Wi-Fi. Dell, HP, Lenovo, and ASUS manufacture good computers.
