Are you receiving e-mails that claim that your anti-virus software has expired (McAfee, Norton, etc.)? Do they have a button to click to renew? Do they claim that you owe hundreds of dollars to continue to protect your computer? Do they instruct you to call a toll-free number to dispute the charge?
The logos look like the real deal. The e-mail is not sent from any security software providers @mcafee.com, @norton.com or @symantec.com.
This type of e-mail is the latest phishing scam designed to trick you to install malware on your computers and to take your money.
