Are you annoyed and distracted by things that pop out of the lower right side of your computer screen? These are Chrome Notifications!
How did they get there?
Sometimes when you visit a website, a pop-up asks if you want to allow or block notifications from that website. If you say YES, you are instructing Chrome to display notifications from that website. They may be ads, stories, unrelated, suspicious or even malicious things that pop out for your attention.
How to remove them?
It is easy to remove them from Chrome.
1. Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of Chrome
2. Click SETTINGS
3. Click SITE SETTINGS
4. Click NOTIFICATIONS (may have to scroll down)
5. Scroll down to the ALLOW list and look at each website that is allowed
6. To turn off the notification, click the 3 dots to the right of the website, then click BLOCK from the drop down menu
Once Chrome Notifications are turned off, using your computer should be a more satisfying experience for you.
