Is this you?

Many of my clients are so frustrated using their computers that they just “want to throw the danged thing out the windowsd and into the lake!”. They don’t know how to make their computer do what they want. They ask me for computer training.

What skills do you need to learn to love your computer?

  1. Windows basics – taskbar, start menu, desktop, windows, terminology
    (where are my programs?)
  2. Browsing basics – browsers, tabs, favorite bookmarks, Wi-Fi and Internet
(how do I use the internet?)
  3. E-mail basics – keeping in touch and cleaning up your inbox, updating software
    (where is that e-mail?)
  4. Researching information – Google search, Wikipedia, Snopes, ChatGPT AI
    (how can I find out?)
  5. Files and Folders – File Explorer, Folders, Word, PDF
    (where did my file go?)
  6.  Securing your information – Backup, One Drive
(oh no! did I lose all of my files?)
  7.  Staying Safe Online- Passwords, Cyber-security, protection software
(how to I stop pop-ups and scammers?)
  8. Access to computer expert – when you have questions or need help
    (who can help me?)
