In my last message, we looked at what malware is and why it is important to remove it and protect your computers.
In this message, I address how you can detect and remove malware, using two diagnostic tools from Malwarebytes. The process takes about an hour. I perform this process on every computer that I service and remove from 10 to thousands of threats. The computers run faster and are more secure, just by removing whatever is detected. This is also an indication of how effective your anti-virus program is (or isn’t).
- AdwCleaner by Malwarebytes – this software detects and quarantines adware. which is a specialized subset of malware. You download, install, scan, quarantine, restart and … adware is REMOVED! GONE!
- Malwarebytes anti-malware – this software detects and quarantines malware, scanning with a very robust database that seeks out malware, much like a blind person reading braille. You download, install, scan, quarantine, restart and … malware is REMOVED! GONE!
