The Downloads folder is a special part of the Library system on your Windows computer. It is a storage container that is used when you open an attachment in your e-mail, download a bank statement, download an application installation program, etc.
You can see what is in your Downloads folder by clicking on the File Explorer manila folder icon on your taskbar. The Downloads folder will be listed on the left Navigation column. Click on Downloads to view its contents.
If you see multiple files with the same name (#), date and size in your Downloads folder, you did not know where the file went, so you tried again (and again). The duplicates can be deleted by selecting them and pressing the DELETE button on your keyboard.
If there are files in the Downloads folder that you want to save in other parts of your Library system, you can select the file with your mouse, then drag it to the Library (e.g., Documents or Pictures), then drop it there by letting go of your mouse button. This moves the file to a new location on your computer.
