As a child, I remember celebrating three holidays in February: Valentine’s Day, Lincoln’s birthday and Washington’s birthday. Today, there are two February holidays.
- Valentines Day continues to be my favorite holiday, filled with cards, flowers and special dinners. Beware of catfish scammers who prey on lonely singles this time of the year.
- President’s Day holiday is now one day instead of two. It is a time to reflect on our country’s Declaration of Independence, declaring that all people are created equal, and the U.S. Constitution that codifies the Rule of Law by which our country is governed. Be an informed citizen.
