WHY: Browser tabs make it easy to select and move among the websites you want to use.
Most of my clients use:
Google search
Their e-mail inbox
Their facebook news page
Their online banking log on
A news page (MSN, AOL or YAHOO)
Maybe an online game
SOLUTION: After setting up the tabs and locking them in, they will be displayed each time you start your browser. Then just click on the tab to see that webpage.
HOW: To select the tabs you visit, open your browser:
Click the New Tab (to the right of the rightmost tab) and enter in the URL box www.google.com
Click the New Tab, enter your e-mail service (e.g. www.aol.com ) in the URL box and log in to your e-mail
Click the New Tab, enter www.facebook.com in the URL box and log into your facebook account
Click the New Tab and enter your bank’s website in the URL box
Click the New Tab and enter any other website that you frequently visit in the URL box
You can click the “x” on any other tabs that you do not want
Then lock in the tabs so they display each time you open your browser
Firefox: Click TOOLS / OPTIONS / HOME / USE CURRENT PAGES
Chrome: Click the 3 dots in the upper right / SETTINGS / ON START UP / USE CURRENT PAGES
Internet Explorer: Click TOOLS / INTERNET OPTIONS / HOMEPAGE / USE CURRENT / APPLY / OK
Now enjoy tabbing to the webpages that you frequently view.
