Backup Your Computer

The reason to backup your computer is to NOT LOSE your personal documents and pictures, if your computer crashes due to power surges, floods or hard drive failures.

To be most secure, keep 2 extra copies of your personal files, one copy off site.

Three ways to backup your computer:

  1. 1. Sign onto Microsoft One Drive - this automates keeping a second copy of your files offsite. 5 GB are provides free; extra space is reasonably priced, if needed.
  2. 2. Subscribe to an automated backup service. Carbonite is less than $100 a year for unlimited offsite backup.
  3. 3. Manually backup periodically to a external drive. Join our Backup Basics Workshop on July 26 from 2:30- 4:30 pm over Zoom to learn how to identify and backup your libraries of computer files.

I believe in making your computers easier and safer to use at an affordable price. Thank you for trusting me to keep your computers healthy. I love to share what I know with you.
